The Engineering Expo has been igniting the imaginations of girls and boys via a spectrum of STEM-related concepts and hands-on activities since 1998. STEM is an acronym for science, technology, engineering, and math. This event focuses on enabling the next generation to explore STEM as an avenue to understand the world around them and explore the art of the possible. Event hours: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
School-aged children and their families are invited to join the College of Engineering for hands-on STEM activities fair. The event features information for high school students on preparing for college, along with small giveaways and activities for all ages.

Everyday Engineering is a program that demonstrates how engineering is all around us. Students will learn about different engineering disciplines through recognizable examples, see online exhibits, and interact with CMU engineering students. The program helps students think about their environments with more curious eyes and understand everyday objects from an engineering perspective.

We are looking for engineers in the making. Come and be inspired and enrich your understanding of engineering. Students of all ages are invited to join us for this free event! Activities include: Balloon Rockets, Hot Diggity Dye, Mechanically Stabilized Earth, Marshmallow Catapults, SparkFun Circuit Fun, Build a Brain Hat, Circuits and Batteries, Brain Games, SUITS Design, Penny Boats, Build a Rollercoaster, Wind Turbines. Parent/guardian attendance required for K-8 students.

110 students representing ten middle schools will gather to compete in the 2025 Minnesota Science Bowl. Teams compete in a fast-paced Q&A competition covering all branches of science and math. The winning team will represent Minnesota at the National Science Bowl with all expenses paid.
Weekly Saturday sessions from January 25th to March 1st, 2025. This is an annual outreach event that introduces science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to elementary-aged students through fun, exciting hands-on learning.
150 students representing 15 high schools will gather to compete in the 2025 Minnesota Science Bowl. Teams compete in a fast-paced Q&A competition covering all branches of science and math. The winning team will represent Minnesota at the National Science Bowl with all expenses paid.
Multi-day symposium focusing on power systems and sustainable clean energy
This five day camp, tailored for girls, will give campers an opportunity to experience and explore the exciting world behind our modern, technological society. They will learn about the electronics and signals that surround us every day, get the chance to interact and work with female electrical engineers and students, and be introduced to the hands-on, Do-it-yourself (DIY) culture.
3-day camp (July 15-17) from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM daily. Activities include RC car customization, automotive technical sessions, industry tours, and racing competition. Designed for middle school students to explore transportation careers through hands-on activities.
